Cadent Gas – Public Drop-in Session Wednesday 5th August

Cadent Gas – Public Drop-in Session for information on the next phase of works in Carlton

Cadent Gas have advised that they will be starting works to upgrade gas pipes on 10th August along the High Street, The Moor and Rectory Close. The works will last for 13 weeks.

Cadent Gas representatives would like to engage with Carlton residents, especially those who live in the affected roads. They will therefore be holding a public drop-in session, at Rectory Close recreation ground on Wednesday 5th August between 3pm and 6pm. Please feel free to turn up at any point during those times to ask questions or address any concerns – look for the gazebo on the playground.

The gas supply will need to be turned off at different times during the works, and timings for this will be communicated to all properties in advance. Anyone who will be adversely affected by a temporary loss of gas supply will receive home visits by a Cadent Gas representative who can arrange alternate welfare arrangements. Residents will receive information about how to contact Cadent Gas with any concerns about welfare for the duration of the works by way of a letter or flyer, or by speaking to someone at next week’s drop-in event.

Cadent Gas will provide any updates or amendments to the plans to the Parish Council and these will be publicised to residents via our website, Facebook page and The Bridge magazine.
